Alva LINK works with any electricity provider. You don't need to switch.

Unlike some competitors, such as 1KOMMA5°, which requires their own Dynamic Pulse tariff, or Tibber, which only optimizes for customers on the Tibber plan, Alva is completely provider-agnostic. Whether you're with Tibber, Vattenfall, Eneco, or any other supplier offering a spot-price (spotpris) tariff, Alva LINK pulls the same day-ahead and intraday price data and optimizes your devices accordingly.

You do need a dynamic (spot-price) electricity tariff for maximum savings. If you're on a fixed-price contract, Alva can still help with solar self-consumption, fuse management, and comfort scheduling, but the price-shifting benefits require prices that actually vary hour by hour. The good news is that spot-price tariffs are starting to become widely available, and switching to one is easy for most people.

Can I keep using Tibber's app alongside Alva? Yes. Many of our customers would like to use Tibber as their electricity supplier and Alva LINK as their device controller. Tibber provides the tariff and consumption overview. Alva does the heavy lifting: actually controlling when your heat pump, EV charger, and battery operate. They complement each other.
