Common questions
Where does Alva Link ship to?
All countries in Europe. Shipping outside Europe is not available at launch. Carrier, cost, and delivery time will be confirmed closer to dispatch — you'll get all the details by email before your unit ships.
Can I cancel my pre-order and get a refund?
Yes. You can cancel any time before your device ships — send a message via chat on alva.as or email. We refund your deposit in full. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.
When will my Alva Link ship?
Shipping starts Q3 2026, prioritised by country and then pre-order sequence. Hardware design is locked, first prototypes are tested, and the enclosure is ready for tooling. You'll get email updates through production and a final confirmation before your unit ships. Remaining payment is processed only at that point.
Do I need one Alva Link per device, or does one Link control everything?
One Alva Link per energy asset — heat pump, solar inverter, EV charger, battery. Each device needs its own dedicated protocol connection to stay fast and reliable. All Links in your home share a single Autopilot subscription, so expanding your system costs nothing extra.
Is Alva Link compatible with my heat pump?
Almost certainly, yes. Alva Link covers roughly 95% of European heat pumps through six connection methods — Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, OpenTherm, SG-Ready, and outdoor sensor spoofing. For older models with no digital interface, Alva acts as the outdoor temperature sensor. All connections run locally with no subscription required.
What's the difference between Alva Essential (free) and Autopilot?
Essential is free forever — local control, manual scheduling, fuse protection, live monitoring, and bridge mode. Autopilot (€4.99/mo or €49/yr) adds automatic price optimization, weather-predictive control, battery arbitrage, and cloud-connected EV scheduling. Most homeowners save €120–280 per year with Autopilot. Cancel anytime.
