Is Alva Link Matter-compatible?

Matter support for temperature sensors and radiator valves is planned via a future software update, delivered over the air. This is not available at launch. We are shipping the core energy optimization protocols first and will enable Matter through a tested firmware update once ready. This will enable Alva Sense temperature sensors and Alva Valve radiator controls to connect directly through the Alva ecosystem using the Matter protocol.

For energy assets (heat pumps, solar inverters, batteries, EV chargers), Alva uses industrial protocols (Modbus, OCPP, SG-Ready) that provide far deeper control than Matter currently offers. Matter is designed for consumer IoT devices, it doesn't yet cover the kind of real-time, bidirectional energy management that Alva performs.
