Which EV chargers does Alva Link support?
Alva Link supports 35+ EV charger brands at launch, covering an estimated 70–80% of the European market — entirely on the free Basic tier.
The reason for this strong coverage is OCPP 1.6 JSON (Open Charge Point Protocol), an industry standard that Alva Link speaks natively. OCPP runs locally over your home network — no cloud, no subscription required. Any EV charger that supports OCPP can be controlled locally by Alva — start/stop charging, set power limits, schedule sessions — without any cloud dependency or subscription.
Native (Tier 1) brands: Easee, Zaptec, go-e, KEBA, Wallbox, Garo, Charge Amps, Heidelberg, ChargePoint, and Enel X. These all support OCPP and/or Modbus TCP for local control.
Community-built (Tier 2): An additional 16+ brands including ABL, Alfen, Fronius Wattpilot, SMA, Huawei, KOSTAL, SolarEdge, ABB, Mennekes, Webasto, OpenWB, Peblar, CTEK, Siemens, and Andersen.
Cloud-only (Tier 3, ★ Autopilot required): Tesla Wall Connector (closed ecosystem, no OCPP), Elli (VW Group proprietary), and Smappee.
