Yes, in several ways:
- SG-Ready: If your heat pump has SG-Ready terminals (most European models from the last decade do), Alva Link can connect immediately. Check the German BWP database at waermepumpe.de for a searchable list of 500+ certified models.
- OpenTherm: If your heat pump or hybrid system supports OpenTherm (common in the Netherlands and for brands like Vaillant, ATAG, Remeha, Intergas, and some Daikin/Bosch models), Alva Link connects natively.
- Community-built Modbus: If your heat pump supports Modbus and isn't in our native library, you (or another user) can map the registers using our visual drag-and-drop tool in the app. Published templates are rated by the community, and top submissions get promoted to "verified" status.
- Outdoor sensor spoofing: Works on virtually any heat pump with an outdoor temperature sensor input — no digital interface needed at all.
