I already use Home Assistant / Homey. Can Alva Link work alongside my existing setup?

Absolutely. Alva Link has a bridge mode (included in Essential, free forever) that exposes the energy hardware it controls to your existing smart home platform. This means devices that were previously unreachable from Home Assistant or Homey — because they sat behind proprietary protocols or lacked an integration — become accessible through Link.

You get the best of both worlds: Alva handles the energy optimization (the part that requires electricity price data, weather forecasting, and thermal modeling), and your smart home platform handles everything else. If you want to write your own automations around your heat pump's state — go for it. Link makes that data available.

This is the opposite of a walled garden. We believe the best product earns its place by being useful, not by locking things down.
