Does Alva Link send data to my energy retailer?

Not unless you explicitly choose it. Alva is provider-agnostic — we work with any energy retailer but we don't report to any of them by default.
Your energy retailer sees your meter, as they always have. They don't get a window into your home through Alva if you do not give them that access yourself.
