Do I need one Alva Link per device, or does one Link control everything?

The number of Alva Links depends on your equipment and how it is connected. Use the configurator for the recommended setup.

Do not count solar and battery as separate Links when they share a compatible hybrid inverter: one Alva Link can connect to both through that inverter. A heat pump plus a combined solar and battery system can therefore use two Links in total, when confirmed by the configurator for that setup.

Two separate solar inverters need separate Links, even if the inverters are next to each other. A heat pump with an integrated hot-water boiler can share one Link for that combined system.

The recommended number of Links does not by itself confirm every control function. Exact model support, gateways, wiring and available commands must be checked for your equipment. If you are unsure, ask us in the chat and we will confirm your setup before you order.

Every setup includes at least one Alva Link, and all Links in your home share a single Autopilot subscription (€4.99 per month, free for your first 6 months as an Early Bird) no matter how many you have. You are never penalized for expanding your system.
